The following diagrams illustrate a major difference between typical intercom/music distribution topology
and AudioShare’s digital media networking topology.
The master/slave setup of competing systems relies
upon the master to control all communications, severely limiting the abilities of the system.
AudioShare’s topology does not rely on any one unit to control the communications; rather, all units are
networked together to control communication among the units, creating much more flexibility in sharing
audio.
In addition, AudioShare is the only fully integrated Music and Intercom system that is smart enough to interoperate with other systems like Home Automation, the Home PC, etc. Don't buy a simple intercom or music system that operates in isolation. Buy the 'smart' AudioShare that works cohesively with other systems in your home.
The sound quality of AudioShare surpasses even the highest-end communication systems because DHC uses
digital technology instead of older analog technology in all transmissions. Analog technology suffers from
distortion, hum, and electrostatic interference from other electrical appliances, particularly as the number of
units and the distance between them increases. Digital technology allows for electronic streaming of the
audio for undistorted sound in the same manner as CD or MP3 audio devices. Digital technology also allows for multi-channel audio, including surround sound formats such as Dolby Digital®, DTS®, SDDS®, DVD Audio™, etc.
Using digital technology paved the way for enhancements in connecting AudioShare with home automation devices and bi-directionally communicating with a home computer or network.
This technology makes the future of AudioShare products boundless. With our history of each new AudioShare product working with past products, rest assured that many future AudioShare enhancements will bring increased value to a purchase of AudioShare products today.
